Week 1- MKTG 3347 - Social Media Marketing



     Social media has become very influential in every aspect of life as many users have found themselves on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Pinterest. Now all of these platforms offer the opportunity to list ads. Ads are essential for businesses as they are one way to quickly grab a viewer's attention; the more views the ad receives the more revenue can be attained. Social media is constantly growing and it is becoming a very popular way to market a business. 

    Small business owners and freelancers benefit from social media by being able to expose themselves to different target markets. At my own workplace; Instagram has been the main source of marketing and the majority of our customers have found us through it. Using social media as just one source of marketing is not beneficial; this is due to limiting your brand's potential. But for a small business, it is incredibly beneficial as it provides professional accounts with basic analytics and direct communication with potential collaborations. 

    Although many social media platforms have made it much easier to post content and connect with viewers. It is very time-consuming, and it has become much more complex in regards to understanding the algorithm. In conclusion, social media marketing is beneficial but businesses should also use other resources and learn professional marketing techniques.

Week 12. MKTG 3347 - Career Changes

                                                                                                        Ch. 4     Many individuals are feeling stuck and do not enjoy their current jobs; some may believe that they do not have any options or fear of doing a career change. According to an article by the Pew Research Center, it states that 1 in 5 workers will be looking for new jobs, and 60% of those that did switch found an increase in their pay  (Kochhar). It is known that wages are one of the main reasons why individuals leave jobs and another reason would be that they are unhappy. By increasing wages, employers will be able to provide more stability for employees; this will make the individuals more happy if they are being paid fairly. While this can be great for some individuals others may find themselves still in a cycle of unhappiness.
